What is Co-Active Coaching?

In Co-Active Coaching, the coach is trained in inspiring and empowering you to get more out of all areas of your life through self discovery, awareness, and choice.

What Could You Look To Co-Active Coaching To Focus On?

You can look to Co-Active Coaching to focus on your goals in health, business, family, friends, fun and recreation, career, finances, fulfilling dreams, allocating more time and energy to what matters most, or to focusing on what your life purpose truly is!

Does a Co-Active Coaching Coach Solve Your Challenges For You?

No!!

Co-Active Coaching isn’t about the coach solving your challenges.

It is about the coach empowering you to address your challenges and taking actions towards your desired life vision from a more proactive, fulfilled, and balanced mindset.

Where Does The Co-Active Coaching Model Come From?

The Co-Active Coaching Model is from an elite coach training school, The Coaches Training Institute CTI®, based in California, United States.

It is the oldest and largest in-person coach training organization in the world and has trained over 50,000 coaches including employees in more than half of the Fortune 100 companies.

CTI’s Co-Active Coach® Training Program is widely recognized as the most rigorous coach training and certification program in the industry.

The CTI Certification Program begins the road to mastery as a Co-Active Coach®.  The in-depth six-month program is recognized as the most rigorous in the industry and includes hands-on coaching, ongoing group work, and one-on-one supervision of actual co-active coaching sessions.

After successful completion of the program, students must pass written and oral certification exams, with the goal of becoming a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach® (CPCC).

The CTI Co-Active Coaching Model is the foundation for Certification as a Co-Active Coach.

The Co-Active Coaching Model is unique in its approach in that it focuses on Four Cornerstones and Three Principles.

Designed Alliance

The Designed Alliance forms the foundation on which our coaching relationship will be developed.

In serving your powerfully, our designed alliance in essence are the terms in which we will work together that serve us both.

Three Core Principles

First, Fulfillment – what do you truly want for your life.

Second, Balance – working from the perspective that you always have choices.

Third, Process – living fully present in the moment.

Four Cornerstones

First, You are Naturally Creative, Resourceful, and Whole – meaning you are not broken, you don’t need fixing, you have all the answers within you and it is our job to get the answers out.

Second, Co-Active Coaching Focuses on Your Whole Person – everything is connected, how you function in one area is typically how you function in all areas.  By focusing on making shifts in one area makes it easier to makes shifts in all areas where shifts are desired.

Third, as your coach, my role is to Evoke Transformation in you – to call you forth in to your desired life with more balance and fulfillment.

Fourth, we Dance in This Moment, meaning, we embrace where you are now as you begin to move towards your desired life vision.

Five Core Coaching Disciplines

In serving you powerfully, the following coaching disciplines are always front and centre:

  • Listening – I will listen deeply to the words you choose to use
  • Curiosity – I will be curious of things you say or not say, actions you take or don’t take, and who are are being or not being
  • Intuition – I will use my intuition to check in on things you say
  • Self Management – I will use self management to remain focused on serving you
  • Deepening your learning and forwarding your action – I will keep you focused on moving forward

In Co-Active Coaching:

  • You will set some important and meaningful goals and move towards achieving them
  • You will discover some interesting things about yourself along the way
  • You will be held accountable to your goals in the way that you want to be held accountable
  • Coach asks the questions, and you answer them
